Become an integral part of a small marketing team focused on creating multi-channel campaigns to drive new membership and product sales for the Online Learning Consortium, a non-profit, professional online learning organization devoted to empowering educators and advancing online learning. Our customers include leading national and regional universities, colleges and community schools and institutions. The Online Learning Consortium is a geographically dispersed and virtual staffed organization, headquartered in Newburyport, MA.

We are seeking a hands-on, self-motivated marketer manager to help drive and deploy a wide range of marketing promotions using the latest automation technologies – including Marketo and Salesforce.  The manager will additionally support all event and tradeshow activities to include marketing promotions, materials and print collateral.

Summary of Responsibilities

The primary objective of this position is to work with the Director of Marketing to achieve marketing results and revenue goals. This position has a primary responsibility for customer acquisition, lead generation and marketing support.  A majority of the scope of the position will be spent in marketing promotions and related duties for customer acquisition and lead generation for the full range of products and services offered by OLC.  These are achieved by daily marketing campaigns focused on sales/lead generation for membership, institute, advisory services, conferences/sponsorship and building and refining lead databases. The Marketing Manager will also be responsible for weekly mid- and post-campaign analysis, tracking metrics for results and effectiveness.

OLC conducts multiple conferences throughout the year at various US locations.  The Marketing Manager will be responsible for supporting the Conferences team, developing and implementing Marketing orders needed for each conference.  They will also represent Marketing and the organization at the conferences, ensuring fulfillment of gifts and giveaways, and handling OLC’s material and booth for exhibit and speaking events.

The Marketing Manager will also be responsible for all print and electronic marketing collateral, including our monthly Membership newsletters and advertising commitments for sponsors, webinars, and workshops.

Position Requirements

The successful candidate will have 3+ years sales experience in marketing with a focus on marketing promotions geared toward customer acquisition, lead generation, upsell, and nurture opportunities.  Also required is social media, internet, and mobile marketing experience and proficiency.  Experience/familiarity with marketing automation software (i.e. Marketo, HubSpot, Eloqua) and CRM systems (i.e. Salesforce, Sugar) required.

OLC is a virtually staffed organization with employees spread across the US in remote offices.  As such, the selected candidate will have to be ambitious, self-motivated, and possess strong time management and organizational skills.  Core office hours are anywhere from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM ET in a supportive, team-oriented work environment.  The position reports to the Director of Marketing.

BS degree in business or related field, preferably with marketing or management focus.

Salary Range

$50,000 – $60,000 commensurate with experience
