Abstract

The idea of "Perfecting the Blend" implies three important notions: first, an ability to improve and get better over time; second, a realization that because the world is constantly changing this year's perfect blend may be imperfect next year; third, the blend that tastes perfect downtown may taste bitter 90 minutes further out in the county. The idea of "openness" has important contributions to make to each of these aspects of perfecting the blend, and David will discuss these each in detail in this keynote address.
