Partnership Manager

As a Partnership Manager, you are responsible for supporting the organization’s sales goals. This will be accomplished by discovering and pursuing new sales prospects, utilizing consultative sales techniques and superior customer service and cultivating relationships with current accounts and prospects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop maximum sales potential out of assigned territory through consultative sales techniques while displaying expertise of the organization’s products and services as well as an understanding of the competition.

  1. Build and maintain quality relationships with current customers and increase account base and volume of sales on a consistent basis.
  2. Perform sales prospecting activities on a routine basis by actively seeking out new prospects through cold calling, networking and social media; research potential prospects to evaluate customer needs and identify selling opportunities.
  3. Follow-up on leads provided by customer service, customer initiation, conferences and the marketing/sales platform; strategize communication-based on behavior, develop outreach plan.
  4. Travel to and participate in conferences to proactively generate organizational contacts; set up meetings in advance as appropriate and interact with others in organization to understand their needs related to each conference.
  5. Evaluate own performance through Salesforce reporting, review, and analysis; obtain product training where necessary determined through objective examination.
  6. Achieve quota consistently on a quarterly basis, and by product line.
  7. Understand customer base through relationship development and product wins and losses; track win/loss reasons for reporting and analysis, develop strategies based on common win/loss scenarios, personalize communication for relationship building.
  8. Gather feedback from customers and prospects and collaborate with internal team members to assist in improving product offerings and development of tactics to increase market share.
  9. Provide internal communication on a regular basis on large proposals; relay factors affecting accounts to assure team members can react in a timely manner and organization commitments can be met.
  10. Develop customized proposals and deliver presentations on products and services as needed to meet specific customer requirements in a timely and efficient manner.
  11. Stay abreast of market conditions regarding products, product updates, service offerings and new technologies.
  12. Maintain Salesforce by accurately entering data and activity related to leads, contacts, accounts and opportunities; manage opportunity stages in territory pipeline on a weekly basis to allow accurate forecasting by the finance team.
  13. Provide ongoing communication with customers as long and as often as needed bringing in subject matter experts when necessary.
  14. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Prior sales and/or business development experience
  • Experience working in or with Higher Education Institutions preferred
  • Salesforce experience highly desirable
  • Capable of managing multiple means of communication
  • Ability to travel 10-25%

REPORTING:

Reports directly to the Director of Strategic Partnerships

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Home office environment.
