“I learned so much about the online learning landscape by attending this conference. I had no idea the vast amount of products, services and resources that were available until I attended this. I found other attendees to be friendly, helpful, bright and knowledgeable and it was great to network with them.”

“Having the option to attend a conference that covers such a broad range of topics relevant to the online landscape of learning is priceless. Attending virtually and having some attend in-person allowed our institution to maximize our conference budget, while benefiting our faculty and staff with a great opportunity for professional development.”

– Heather Bushey, Director of SOUL and FIPSE Project Manager, Bay Path University

OLC Accelerate 2016 was held November 16-18 in sunny Orlando at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort. Together, we had close to 1,800 onsite and 800 virtual participants learning together, with representation from 24 countries.

OLC Accelerate is the premiere conference on online learning and this year was no exception!

The program successfully weaved together the topic strands that shape our communities of practice through presentations, panel discussions, express workshops, research highlights, discovery sessions, town halls, and pre-conference workshops.

Along with two dynamic keynote presentations and a thought-provoking plenary panel, participants were offered reflective artistic commentary on current topics in online teaching and learning, and the future we need to build together, so that our students can achieve their educational goals.

To top things off, the Technology Test Kitchen served up a new dish — the Iron Chef Battles — which gave educators a rare opportunity to team up with exhibitors to brainstorm on-the-spot effective practices to address the challenges we all face in the work we do.

Much thanks to the OLC Accelerate Steering Committee, Program Committee, OLC Board, and OLC Staff for helping to make the 2016 conference an engaging, rewarding, must-attend learning event!

Save the date for next year as we gather once again in Orlando, November 15-17, 2017.

Thank you to our generous sponsors for the prizes below!
