Brief Abstract

Plan, ideate, and build! Come and learn about rapid prototyping with low and high technologies. Participants will work together to quickly iterate, build, and showcase an idea.


Maggie is a PhD candidate and American Association of University Women Fellow at the University of Arizona. She's a serial maker. She co-founded and now helps manage the UA's makerspace, the iSpace. She enjoys embedding circuits into things, additive and subtractive fabrication, dabbling with AI, digital world making, and more. She is an incoming assistant professor of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Extended Abstract

The objective of this session is for participants to use high and low technologies to promote creative and innovative idea building in the classroom. Participants will leave with a few rapid prototyping activities to implement into their own classes.
