Extended Abstract

The eThink Education team has supported several institutions through the process of evaluating how competency-based frameworks within Moodle can be used to implement or improve assessment practices. During this presentation we will share several examples of the institutional problems our clients were looking to solve, and how the competency feature set can be molded to meet a variety of needs.

We’ll discuss our experiences with these institutions and the process we developed for evaluating the scope of their initiative, providing training on the features, and offering guidance on next steps. In addition, we will share some of the challenges these clients face during implementation.
