Former Dean for UEI College in Phoenix, AZ and Associate Dean of General Studies at ITT Technical Institute. Assistant Dean at Sanford-Brown College for 3 years. Junior Vice Commander for Post 43, American Legion supporting Grand Canyon University. Currently earning an EdD in Higher Education Leadership.

Tired of using the same old teaching tools within your classrooms? Try these two new technologies to spice up your lesson plans! They are free, user friendly, and exciting to use! Venngage allows students and teachers to create colorful infographs for class work or class instruction. Many templates available to use from and allows for the inclusion of video as well! Having a hard time getting students to complete the assigned reading for class? Use InsertLearning to engage those students! InfoLearning is an add on to Chrome that allows you to insert items on any webpage! For example, you can add a post it note, insert your own video explaining the concept onto the webpage, create a multiple choice question, or ask for feedback from the students! This can be used live in class OR it can be uploaded as a reading assignment which you create an online class for. All you have to do is share the code. The opportunities to engage students are limitless! Don't be left out of the fun!
