In this session, we will discuss: (1) how top-tier universities seamlessly integrate necessary coding assignments within coursework and deliver student assessments, (2) how automated assessments enable institutions to scale their instruction to reach students around the world, and (3) how business, math, engineering and CS students are being taught essential skills on professional tools and infrastructure.

Sanjay Srivastava is an entrepreneur and product leader with experience building highly successful businesses in semiconductors, storage software and education. Sanjay founded Vocareum to transform learning by leveraging mobility, cloud computing, and machine learning to empower instructors. Sanjay's involvement in education also includes investment in Lifelaunchr.com, board position at the non-profit Foundation for Excellence, and participating in various initiatives the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Previously, Sanjay was co-founder, president and CEO of Denali Software (acquired by Cadence in 2010). At Cadence, he held the title of Senior Vice President, Research and Development, SoC Realization Group. Sanjay was also Chairman of the Board at NVELO (acquired by Samsung in 2012). He holds a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a B. Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur, India.

In our global digital economy, it’s not just computer science majors that need digital skills. The role of data in making mission-critical decisions is increasing exponentially, leading to greater demand for computer literacy across multiple disciplines, from business analytics to healthcare to scientific computing. By incorporating cloud learning labs and deploying enterprise-grade infrastructure directly into the curriculum, institutions prepare learners for careers in a data-centric, cloud-enabled world.
