Learn about the U.S. Department of Education's new strategies, fundamental changes in the higher education landscape and the unprecedented opportunities they provide for innovation within institutions and in the model of higher education itself.

Advancements in technology, increased workforce demand, and the changing student population present an undeniable need for higher education to adapt. In this process, institutions have the opportunity not only to react to the current needs, but also to design the innovative educational models of the future.

This presentation will discuss the goals and strategies of the U.S. Department of Education in catalyzing innovation in next generation assessments, quality assurance, funding models, and open education through new experimental sites initiatives, grant programs, and regulatory changes. Institutions will learn about various ways that they can engage the Department in their own innovation efforts.
