Lead Presenter: Alissa Ortman, Society for Neuroscience

Alissa works at the Society for Neuroscience as the Outreach and BrainFacts.org Manager. In this role she performs public outreach in person as well as maintaining and developing the Society's public education website, BrainFacts.org.

Come learn about the resources, materials, and information available on BrainFacts.org. The site has something for everyone including educators, policymakers, students, and the science-interested public. Learn how neuroscience interacts with everyday life like how various conditions affect our brains and how our taste and smell work together. In this session you will see how content that originally started as a book for educators has evolved, with help from founding and content-producing partners, into a trusted source of neuroscience knowledge for millions around the world.
