How Predictive Analytics Can Impact Student Retention

Workshop Session 2

Brief Abstract

Student retention is one of the most challenging issues facing higher education today. Early intervention is key to ensuring students stay on track, but alert systems have been in the market for more than 15 years, and on-time completion rates have only seen a 1% improvement in that time.

The Brightspace Student Success System™ is a new kind of early intervention system that uses predictive analytics to improve students’ chances of success. It acts as a personalized academic progress tool to help instructors quickly identify at-risk students and take action.

Learn how several higher education institutions are using Brightspace to improve student outcomes and retention rates with proven results.
