Extended Abstract

Our students live in a YouTube world—they turn to video to learn how to do everything from mastering Minecraft to baking brownies. What if educators could harness that power? What if our instructional videos captured their attention and delivered a learning experience that was both entertaining and informative? Learn how you can use Camtasia to connect with online students and keep them engaged as you give a course tour, teach course concepts, or demonstrate how to submit assignments. With a little green screen magic, you can even film yourself balancing on the edge of a volcano or touring the Louvre . . . or perhaps just standing in front of your lecture slides. Participants will receive a virtual tool kit of sample instructional videos, free online tools, and filmmaking resources.
