Brief Abstract

LMS data can be analyzed daily to automatically identify at-risk students.

Kimberley Munzo is an educator. With a master's degree in Criminal Justice, Kim began teaching at St. Leo's University in Florida. She moved into teaching online and then into the management of online programs. Kim noticed a lack of good student retention tools for online courses -- so she built Dropout Detective and Instructor Insight because she needed them. AspirEDU, Inc. provides these solutions to schools in the U.S. and internationally.
I help run AspirEDU, Inc. We provide student retention analytics that automatically identify at-risk students. Our two solutions are Dropout Detective and Instructor Insight.

Extended Abstract

A school’s LMS holds the right academic and engagement data to allow Dropout Detective software to automatically identify at-risk students. From the first day of a term – and every day after that – Dropout Detective alerts you to which students require the most immediate outreach. Dropout Detective risk-rates each student by reviewing ALL courses in which they are enrolled. We will tell you how some online programs have increase their retention rates by more than 10% in their first term of using Dropout Detective.
