Brief Abstract

Learn how 1,500 institutions use LockDown Browser and Respondus Monitor to prevent cheating during online exams. This session will include a discussion of online testing challenges and a demonstration of both applications, including the latest features of Respondus Monitor that take automated exam proctoring to a new level.

Presenters

Arie is a Senior Product Specialist with Respondus Inc. and has extensive experience in the educational technology space. She has been with Respondus for more than 10 years, working with administrators and instructors to develop training and rollout strategies for elearning technologies. Arie has taught and designed learning programs in both K12 and higher education, and was previously in marketing for an LMS company as well.

In this session, you’ll learn how LockDown Browser prevents printing, copying and accessing other applications during online exams. Also see how Respondus Monitor, a fully-automated proctoring solution, adds video and webcam technology to LockDown Browser to prevent cheating in non-proctored testing environments. Suspicious behaviors are automatically flagged and instructors are alerted to suspicious behaviors through an updated dashboard.

Along with a demonstration of the software, you’ll learn about key challenges of online testing, including verification of student identity, preventing students from accessing unapproved materials during an exam, how to protect exam content, and more. This session also covers best practices and rollout tips for new users.
