Designing and Delivering Instructional Video Via Cloud Technologies
Instructional videos are an important component in online courses. This webinar demonstrates strategies for designing and delivering instructional video via cloud technologies. During this session emphasis will be placed on the integrated utilization of Camtasia for Mac with iMovie to deliver instruction using YouTube. The presenters will cover the required skill sets and strategies for effective instructional practice and will examine video construction as an artistic expression aimed at reaching modern learners with difficult topics. During the webinar the participants will get a chance to see a template for information delivery, examine methodologies for developing simple instructional graphics, share strategies for maximizing Camtasia for Mac, and explore the editing of video in iMovie, and demonstrate upload of video to YouTube. This session is intended to guide faculty in the preparation and delivery of high quality instructional video.

Dr. Rick Lumadue is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership at Texas A&M University Commerce. He is the program coordinator for the MS in Global eLearning. Dr. Lumadue is editor in chief of a peer-reviewed international journal, Global eLearning. He is also very active with MERLOT.
Dr. Lee “Rusty” Waller is an Associate Professor at the Department of Educational Leadership at Texas A&M University Commerce.. He has a long history of teaching in the digital environment. Dr. Waller serves as program coordinator of the BS in Global eLearning degree.
