Extended Abstract

Power up student learning! From simple scenarios to emerging technologies, let's level up learning by adding interactive elements and instructor presence to engage students more deeply. We challenge you to join our journey from bricks to clicks to learn more about our process for working with instructors to develop rigorous learning experiences. We will explain how we work with instructors to make content come alive for all students, regardless of time or space.

Students are more likely to engage deeply and more often with course content when participating actively in their own learning. Through repetition, students successfully gain mastery and increase long-term knowledge retention. We will show you how to make learning more effective and motivational by creating accessible learning experiences that turn passive learning into active learning.

During this session, you will be able to explore the possibilities and learn how these interactive elements (i.e., game-based learning, experiential learning) can improve course outcomes and boost career skills. The goal of this session is to share our own experiences with elements in course design, as well as to discuss tips for designing these experiences, how to initiate a conversation with faculty, and the importance of the improvement process.
