We cordially invite senior leaders and their trusted advisors to join us in Orlando, Florida this fall for a remarkable opportunity to learn, collaborate, and network. We are thrilled to announce the third annual OLC Leadership Network Symposium, taking place prior to our larger community gathering at OLC Accelerate (November 18-21). This symposium will bring together trailblazers and influential voices in our field, fostering discussions and debates about our digital learning futures. Together, we will determine our top priorities for the upcoming year, addressing the most significant challenges and opportunities facing our field.
The Leadership Symposium is a highly collaborative one-day event specifically tailored for senior leaders. It aims to collectively identify areas that require our focused attention in addressing the ubiquitous challenges and promising opportunities for creating equitable, inclusive, and quality online and blended education. The symposium builds upon the success of our previous Leadership Network events and responds to the requests from senior leaders for a dedicated meeting space.
This year’s symposium attendees will address critical questions around the following themes:
- Operational Strategies for Digital Learning Excellence:This track focuses on the behind-the-scenes essentials that make digital learning possible and sustainable. Sessions will explore topics such as innovative budget models tailored for online and blended learning programs, strategies for financial sustainability, and the development of a comprehensive digital strategy that aligns with institutional goals. This includes navigating the digital transformation of higher education, managing organizational change, and ensuring the long-term viability of digital learning initiatives.
- Equity and Inclusion in Digital Learning: This track addresses the critical importance of creating equitable and accessible online learning environments. It covers strategies for designing inclusive courses, supporting underserved and diverse student populations, and ensuring that digital learning materials are accessible to all learners. A special focus will be placed on advancing pathways to diverse leadership within higher education and supporting emerging leaders from underrepresented groups.
- Innovating Our Digital Learning Pedagogies and Methods: Dedicated to the exploration of cutting-edge pedagogical practices and the integration of innovative technologies in curriculum development, this track delves into the latest in digital pedagogy, instructional design, and the use of emerging technologies (such as AI, AR, VR) to enhance teaching and learning. It also explores the assessment of learning outcomes and the continuous improvement of academic programs in the digital age.
This year’s symposium promises a truly engaging experience, featuring an opening session, panel discussions, and numerous networking opportunities. The Leadership Network Symposium is available as an add-on event ticket for the onsite attendees of OLC Accelerate 2024. Select the Leadership Network Symposium agenda item on the OLC Accelerate 2024 registration page to reserve your seat.
The price of the symposium also includes a one-year membership in the OLC Leadership Network, with access to exclusive events, reports, publications, and networking opportunities from November 2024 – November 2025.
To encourage active dialogue and actionable next steps, registration will be limited to no more than 150 participants.

OLC’s Leadership Network Symposium will bring together senior leaders and their trusted advisors in online, blended, and digital education to discuss new pathways to digital partnerships. Increasingly, the changing educational landscape along with the rise of alternative educational providers have opened new pathways and opportunities in digital leadership, research, and collaboration.
This one-day highly collaborative event is tailored for senior leaders to determine where we should collectively focus our attention in best addressing the ubiquitous challenges and promising opportunities for creating equitable, inclusive, and quality online and blended education. The Leadership Network Symposium was inspired by the success of our previous Leadership Network events and requests from senior leaders for a dedicated meeting space.
