How to deliver effective hybrid classes during Covid-19.
Presenters

Fred Dixon is the project manager for BigBlueButton, an open source web conferencing system for online learning. The goal of the project is to enable remote students to have a high-quality online learning experience.
Fred also moonlights as the CEO of Blindside Networks.

Dr. Steven Muegge is an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, and the Director of Carleton’s Technology Innovation Management (TIM) program. Dr. Muegge leads an active research program in technology entrepreneurship and commercialization. Results of Dr. Muegge’s research feature prominently throughout Canada’s National Capital Region, in the design of the award-winning Lead To Win ecosystem, and in the business models of hundreds of technology entrepreneurs. Dr. Muegge holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Engineering Physics from McMaster University, a Master of Engineering degree in Telecommunications Technology Management from Carleton University, and a Ph.D. in Management from Carleton University.
Extended Abstract
Having over 10 years experience of teaching online, Steven Muegge will share his techniques for engaging remote students. He will cover his strategies and best practices in response to the unique challenges facing teachers (and students) during the pandemic.
