Lynn Wahl
Director of Digital Learning Production – University of North Carolina at Charlotte
Lynn Wahl is the Director of Digital Learning Production at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she leads institutional efforts to design and deliver high-quality, scalable online courses. She brings over 16 years of experience in higher education, with a strong background in instructional design, faculty collaboration, and digital learning strategy. At UNC Charlotte, Lynn has served in key roles within the digital learning team, including instructional design and course production leadership. Her work is centered on building engaging, effective online learning experiences and fostering cross-functional collaboration to support student success at scale. Lynn began her academic career teaching English at North Idaho College, where she later transitioned into instructional design, an evolution that reflects her deep commitment to both pedagogy and innovation in teaching and learning. She holds a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology from Idaho State University and both a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in English from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
Phil Denman
Coordinator, Quality Scorecard Suite – Online Learning Consortium
Phil Denman serves as Coordinator of the Quality Scorecard Suite for the Online Learning Consortium where he leads quality assurance programs related to online, blended, and digital learning. He brings over 25 years of experience to OLC, including 15 years spent as an instructional designer, initially helping launch UC Berkeley’s first two fully-online Master’s degree programs, then spending 10 years at San Diego State University. During this time, he held concurrent roles with the California State University Chancellor’s Office, serving as Campus Coordinator for the Course Redesign with Technology initiative leading faculty to implement high impact practices to improve student success, as well the Faculty Lead for Quality Assurance where he developed programs to evaluate and improve online and blended learning. Outside of higher education, Phil has also held roles in product development, marketing, and broadcasting. He holds a M.S. in Education from California State University, East Bay and a B.A. in Communication Arts from Allegheny College, a small liberal arts college in Pennsylvania.
