Turn Your OLC Certificate into Graduate Credit at Baylor University
Through a collaboration between OLC and Baylor University’s Moody School of Education Professional Online Learning unit, advanced OLC certificate alumni may apply their professional learning toward up to 6 graduate credits in one of Baylor’s fully online graduate programs.
After completing an advanced OLC certificate, learners may use their project and certification as the foundation for a PLA portfolio (additional materials may be required). To get started, contact a Baylor Enrollment Manager at (254) 710-6111 or SOE_Online@Baylor.edu.
OLC Advanced Certificate Alumni may receive:
- Tuition scholarships:
- A 10% tuition scholarship for school employees pursuing online master’s or graduate certificate programs:
- Eligibility for Baylor’s 8% Priority Enrollment Scholarship for the award-winning EdD in Learning and Organizational Change
- Waived application fee
- Transfer credit consideration
- Graduate credit through Prior Learning Assessment (PLA)
Instructional Designer Certificates
The Instructional Designer Certificate Program provides practicing instructional designers the opportunity to build or refine their skills, including: working with faculty during the online course design and development process, analyzing learning and instructional theories and instructional methods, reviewing emerging best practices in
digital learning, and learning strategies for developing and adopting a course quality review process.
The Advanced Instructional Designer Certificate Program challenges instructional designers who have worked in the field for several years to enhance and strengthen their learning design and management skills!

Online Teaching Certificates
The OLC Online Teaching Certificate prepares educators to teach and improve online courses using the OLC Pillars of quality in online education – learning effectiveness, scale, faculty, and student satisfaction. A unique feature of the certificate program is that expert mentors work individually with each certificate candidate to accomplish specific goals.
The Advanced Online Teaching Certificate Program is a 12-week workshop designed to help educators fine-tune existing online courses and degree programs to have a positive impact on student learning.

Leadership Certficates
The Global Leadership Certificate Program is intended to broaden a digital learning leader’s perspective to a global perspective. Expert feedback, a global cohort of peers, and optional live sessions enhance this leadership training.
The Institute for Emerging Leadership in Online Learning (IELOL) is OLC’s premier leadership development program. IELOL participants work with colleagues from around the world to explore and understand both the opportunities and barriers to advancing local and global online learning.
