The OLC Mastery Series Program focuses on the theory and application of research on key skills, culminating in a Recognition of Expertise in designing specialized learning experiences. Mastery Series programs are designed to guide you through relevant research and apply it to create an effective teaching and learning environment.
In this 4-week workshop, you will build/improve an online or blended course/training while being guided by OLC’s QCTIP Scorecard, which is used to evaluate online course quality. Along the way, you will learn important instructional design concepts and tools for online course design through a series of steps following the ADDIE instructional design model.
This workshop is perfect for faculty, new instructional designers or those in an instructional design role who lack formal training.
Note that this workshop should not be taken with the Online Course Design Mastery Series.
In this 4-week series, you will explore approaches for developing online courses, including technology integration and building online learning communities. With topics specific to your discipline in mind, you will follow the ADDIE model to analyze your learners and course, design learning experiences, choose technologies and assessment strategies, and evaluate your course with a quality rubric. Perfect for online Nursing, Medical, and Health Care educators and their leaders.
