Campus Map and Driving Directions to NSC

NSC has large, open and FREE parking lots throughout the campus. These lots are indicated on the attached campus map (P1, P2, etc.). Attendees are free to park in any of these lot at NO charge.

Transportation from/to McCarran Airport:

  • Taxi Cab Service – offer 12 providers (estimated fare is $45.39)
  • Shared Ride Shuttles  – Shared ride, such as SuperShuttle, estimated fare $35 one way
  • Rental Car Options
  • Lyft and Uber are currently authorized to provide ride sharing services at the airport.  Simply arrange for a ride using the app on your smart phone or mobile device.

There is a lot to do in and around Henderson. NSC is located 15 miles from downtown Las Vegas and less than 20 miles from the Hoover Dam. Here are a few ideas and links (coming soon) to get you started. Make a few days of it!

Clark County Museum – Heritage Street (1.5 Miles) Operated by the Clark County Parks and Recreation department, this museum features 30 acres of exhibits that showcase the evolution of southern Nevada from pre-historic to modern times; as well as a collection of restored historic buildings that depict daily life during times of old. It’s an ideal stop for history and architecture enthusiasts alike!

Las Vegas Strip (11 Miles) Perhaps there is no greater spot to find world class casinos (Casino Royale, Bally’s and Excalibur, to name a few), awe-inspiring entertainment, flashy nightlife and more fabulous spectacles than the Las Vegas Strip. You can be there in less than 15 minutes, and then return to our hotel for a relaxing swim, soak in our hot tub, or fine night’s rest on our comfortable beds.

Downtown Las Vegas (20 Miles) There’s more to do in Las Vegas than flirt with lady luck! Downtown Las Vegas is the central business district for both Las Vegas and southern Nevada. Find Symphony Park, the Arts District the Fremont East District, the Financial District and more in this hub for contemporary residential, business and cultural phenomena.

Lake Mead (11 Miles) Lake Mead is the largest reservoir in the U.S. in water capacity, located nearby on the Colorado River. Enjoy boating, fishing, water skiing, swimming and sunbathing on the banks of this oasis where the desert meets the waves.

Hoover Dam (15 Miles) Visitors stare in awe at this iconic concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River. Demanding six years to complete, thousands of workers and over 100 lives, the dam controls floods, provides irrigation water and produces eco-friendly hydroelectric power. Enjoy the view!

Red Rock Canyon (18 Miles)The Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area showcases the large red rock formations and sandstone peaks, called the Keystone Thrust, which soar up to 3,000 feet high; perfect for adventure travelers looking to hike or rock climb. Native Americans have long revered these red rock formations due to the water, plant and animal life that they can sustain in the middle of the scorching desert.
