There is a lot to do in and around Tucson.
Here are a few ideas and links to get you started. Make a few days of it!

  • The Sun Link Tucson Streetcar “connects five major activity centers – the University of Arizona, Fourth Avenue, Main Gate Square, Downtown Tucson, and the Mercado District –in central Tucson. The four-mile route has 18 stops adorned with public art…”
  • The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum “is ranked on as one of the Top 10 Museums in the country and the #1 Tucson attraction. Unlike most museums, about 85% of the experience is outdoors!”

  • Sabino Canyon is great for hiking and checking out the Sonoran desert landscape.
  • “A” Mountain, officially called Sentinel Peak is a good small-ish hiking hill not far from campus. You can also drive to the top for some decent views.

Fourth Avenue is close to campus and has great funky shops, restaurants, and bars.
