How to Apply to IELOL
Individuals must complete the IELOL application form. Applicants will receive an automated email confirmation upon receipt of their application.
(Note that you will be asked to create or log into your OLC account.)
2024 Application Deadlines
Applications for 2024 are accepted on a rolling admissions cycle beginning October 2023, with early and regular acceptance deadlines. We encourage you to apply as early as possible. Applicants are notified of their acceptance within 2-3 weeks of submitting their application. There may be a delay in notifications of acceptance if you submit your application between December 20, 2023, and January 2, 2024.
Application Deadlines for 2024 Program are as follows:
- Early bird rate: Friday, January 26, 2024
- To be considered for scholarship: Friday, April 19, 2024
- Regular rate and final date to apply: Friday, April 26, 2024
Payment Deadline
All accepted participants must submit the program fee for registration within 30 days of notification of acceptance and no later than Monday, May 20, 2024.
Registration Confirmation, Cancellations, Transfers & Refunds
OLC will confirm your registration and promptly notify you regarding any changes. OLC strives to deliver all offerings as scheduled. However, we reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a program due to unforeseen extenuating circumstances. If an unforeseen event forces OLC to cancel or postpone the program, OLC will give as much advanced notice as possible. In the event of an OLC cancellation, you will receive a full refund of your registration fee. However, OLC cannot be held responsible for any related costs, including cancellation fees assessed by airlines or travel agencies.
Should you need to withdraw from this program for any reason, a written request can be sent by email to customerservice@onlinelearning-c.org or by fax to 888.898.6209. If your request to withdraw is received by June 7, 2024, any paid fees will be refunded, less a $50 administrative fee.
Once registration confirmation is communicated and up to the end of the pre-immersion session, you may request one time to transfer to the next cohort with no administration fee. Should you need to transfer to the next cohort after the pre-immersion session ends, transfer requests will be charged an administrative fee of $350 per participant. This request cannot be made more than once. Should you transfer to the next cohort, please note that if there is an increase in fees for the program, you will be responsible for paying the updated cost for the new year.
Note: Transferring to a later cohort entails re-submitting all work and participating in all elements of the program. Once registered in the later cohort, no refunds will be given.
Accessibility
The OLC is committed to ensuring that both our application process and program experience is accessible. If you require accommodations as part of the application process itself, please reach out to customerservice@onlinelearning-c.org. Once you have been accepted and are considered fully registered for the program, the IELOL team will follow up with separate correspondence to prepare you for the program. As part of this process, you will be given the space to indicate any accommodation needs. We will work with you individually to make sure that your specific accommodation needs are addressed. If you have questions or would like to discuss your accessibility needs or concerns, please contact us at customerservice@onlinelearning-c.org at least two weeks in advance of the IELOL program start.
Scholarships
A limited amount of funding for IELOL tuition scholarships is available. The intent of the scholarship is to enable participation in the program for an individual who may not otherwise have the resources to fund their participation. To apply for the scholarship, please provide a summary statement of your eligibility and how much financial assistance you are requesting as part of the funding section of your IELOL Application (no more than 250 words).
Note that all scholarship applications must be received on or before April 19, 2024. No scholarship requests will be accepted after this date.
PLEASE NOTE: Scholarship amounts are provided in the form of a reduction in the IELOL tuition. The scholarship amount will vary based on expressed needs of interested applicants and available scholarship resources. If you have requested a scholarship, please note that admission will not be part of the regular rolling review process. Applications that include a scholarship request will be reviewed on or before April 19, and notified on or before May 3, 2024.
