OLC Innovate, a joint conference presented by OLC and MERLOT, provides a path for innovators of all experience levels and backgrounds to share best practices, test new ideas, and collaborate on driving forward online, digital, and blended learning.

We will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Innovate conference April 1-4, 2025 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, TN!  Our theme for Innovate 2025 is “Rhythm of Innovation:  Hitting the High Notes in Digital Education.”

Join us as we challenge our teaching and learning paradigms, reimagine the learning experience, and ideate on how disruptions in education today will shape the innovative classroom of tomorrow.

OLC Response to No Virtual Modality for Conference

As we look forward to the OLC Innovate 2025 conference, we are excited to announce a significant shift in how we connect, learn, and collaborate. After several years of successful virtual conferences, we are pleased to transition back to an in-person format for our conferences in 2025.

This decision reflects our commitment to enhancing the educational experience, facilitating deeper personal connections, and harnessing the unique energy that only comes from being together in the same space. We believe that in-person interactions foster more spontaneous conversations, richer networking opportunities, and a more vibrant community spirit.

We recognize the value and accessibility of virtual participation and we are exploring options to add across OLC programming in 2025. As an organization dedicated to high-quality online, blended and digital learning, we will continue to incorporate virtual training and events throughout the year to ensure that those who cannot attend our conferences in person continue to have access to virtual learning modalities.

Summits

Take a deep dive into critical topics with thought leaders in digital, online, and blended education. Our AI, HBCU, and Instructional Design Summits are included as part of the regular conference program through the Conference Pass.

Unique Session Formats

Expect to be actively involved in sessions at OLC Innovate. From “Conversation, Not Presentation” to “Design Sprints,” presentations will encourage deep thinking and engagement around relevant topics.
