Brief Abstract

Come join other conference attendees and create an OLC Accelerate game plan for Week 2 and post-conference. During this power hour, the OLC Field Guides will be present to suggest interesting presentations and activities, train you on the use of the OLC site/mobile app, and show you Engagement Maps. We’ll also discuss ways to participate virtually–including Slack and Twitter! Meet old friends, make new acquaintances, plan your schedule. We can’t wait to see you there!

Dorothy Loftin holds a Master's of Science in Educational Information Technology and is an Instructional Design Specialist at Oregon State University, ranked Top 10 in the national by U.S. News & World Report. She has presented at national and international conferences and she trains course developers in an award winning faculty development program recognized by the Online Learning Consortium for Excellence in Faculty Development for online teaching. Dorothy is the lead expert on accessibility at Oregon State University Ecampus.
Romana (Romy) Hughes is the Assistant Provost of Educational Technology and Faculty Development and the Director of the Koehler Center for Instruction, Innovation, and Engagement at Texas Christian University. Her primary duties include oversight of the Koehler Center, managing a robust, multi-faceted professional development program for full-time, adjunct faculty and graduate assistants that support teaching and learning and addresses the changing needs of students, the intersection course design with student-centered learning and to pursue excellence in the use of technology. Romy also works with Department Chair Leadership Training on campus. Romy has twenty-seven years of higher education experience and nineteen years of faculty development experience. Romy has fifteen years of teaching experience in higher education. Romy holds two graduate degrees in Liberal Arts and Professional Development Organizational Communication.
