Course Reviews

OLC’s expert-led course reviews help institutions evaluate instructional quality, improve student engagement, and align with best practices in online and blended learning.

Why Choose an OLC Course Review?

High-quality courses are essential to student success in digital learning environments. Whether you’re developing new offerings, refining existing ones, or preparing for accreditation, OLC’s Course Review process offers an evidence-based, faculty-friendly approach to continuous improvement.

Our Course Reviews use the two sections of the OLC Course Review Scorecard that focus on design: Essential Design and Advanced Design. With 35 measurable objectives, the scorecard provides a clear roadmap to identify strengths, address gaps, and align with instructional design best practices.

Courses that meet or exceed benchmark scores are eligible to earn the OLC Exemplary Course Endorsement, valid for three years.
