The Increasingly Digital K-12 Classrooms

This is the final webinar in the Trends in Digital Learning and OER series, which will dive into the most recent data from Bay View Analytics’ 2025 Digital Classroom Materials survey of K-12 teachers. What do teachers report using? And, perhaps more importantly, what do teachers think about their materials? These results will serve as the starting point for a panel discussion about the use of digital materials in K-12 and their impact on teaching and student success. 

Bay View Analytics has tracked the awareness and adoption of Open Educational Resources in K-12 since 2017. Supported by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the project has examined the evolving factors driving OER awareness and adoption. Our results feature nationally representative participants across 7 surveys.

Caitlin McLemore, Ed.D., PMP
Senior Research Associate & Project Manager, ISTE + ASCD
 
Dr. Caitlin McLemore specializes in mixed methods research and evaluation projects exploring the intersection of education and technology. Current research topics include artificial intelligence, edtech usability, product evaluation and selection, and program evaluation. Prior to joining ISTE+ASCD, Caitlin led her own consulting business focused on curriculum design, educational research, instructional coaching, and teacher training. Caitlin also worked for eight years in PK-12 independent schools as an academic technology specialist. Caitlin holds a professional teaching license in Elementary Education. She is also Google Certified Innovator, ISTE Certified Educator, and published author. Caitlin holds an Ed.D. in Technology Integration from Johns Hopkins and an M.Ed. and B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Florida.
 
Julia Seaman, Ph.D.

Dr. Julia Seaman has extensive experience in survey research as well as competitive intelligence and translational research. She has worked and published across a wide range of qualitative and quantitative projects. Along with her publications at Bay View Analytics, Dr. Seaman’s projects include publishing on statistical practices in ASQ, and consulting for several biotechnology start-ups. Dr. Seaman has published in scientific, statistical, and quality control journals, including Cell Death and Differentiation, BMC Anesthesiology, and Journal of Quality Progress, as well as serving as statistical and scientific reviewer for BMC journals and UCSF Health Awards.
