Membership Sales Representative

The OLC Member Sales Representative (part-time position) is an outbound sales position that works with the Director of Sales to sell OLC’s institutional membership to organizations in their assigned territory (region or state), and other products and services as assigned. Territories will be assigned based on the sales representative’s state to provide more local interaction with institutions and to increase the probability of sales success. This sales position is a virtual office position and is ideal for the individual seeking additional income opportunities. The position is not salaried and pays by a generous commission only (see below).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Works within their area of responsibility/territory for outbound sales of institutional membership and wrap-around services that support membership, such as our Workshop Pass, virtual conference packages, or other services as determined or assigned.
  • Position involves networking for sales opportunities, cold calls/follow up calls on self-generated leads or opportunities generated by OLC marketing campaigns. Updates our Salesforce.com database with activity after contact.
  • Prepares weekly sales report on individual sales activity.
Working Conditions:
  • This sales position is a virtual office position and is ideal for the individual seeking additional income opportunities.
  • A dedicated schedule per day/week for OLC sales activity will be the responsibility of the sales representative to determine, but we recommend a minimum commitment of one hour per day (on average) of dedicated sales time to maintain our reputation for providing superior sales communication and customer service, and increase your conversion rate of leads to sales.
  • As this is a contractor position. All costs incurred by representative for maintaining a home office will be covered at the representative’s expense.
  • Semi-formal business attire required for customer contact.
Compensation:

The position is a contract position and pays on commission only. Commissions are currently 20% or more of product value, depending on the product and sales plan for the quarter. There is no cap on commission earnings.
