OLC Organizational Accessibility Statement

The Online Learning Consortium (OLC) is committed to providing an inclusive, accessible, and equitable experience for all members of our community. We believe that high-quality, digital learning environments should be freely and readily accessible and usable by everyone, regardless of ability.

Our Commitment to Accessibility

OLC strives to ensure that our website, programs, workshops, virtual events, and digital resources conform to the most updated digital guidelines, such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.

Accessibility is an ongoing, dynamic, and proactive effort at OLC. Digital content is reviewed for accessibility prior to public-facing availability of content. OLC continually evaluates and improves our materials, platforms, and practices to enhance usability and remove barriers to participation.

Accessibility in OLC Programs and Events

OLC is committed to designing learning experiences that are accessible from the start. To support this proactive approach:

  • Website and digital materials are reviewed for accessibility prior to publication.
  • Conference presenters, workshop facilitators, and program contributors at all levels receive accessibility guidelines, training resources, and accessible templates for development of their materials.
  • OLC provides best-practice guidance for accessible slide design, document formatting, captioning, and inclusive digital engagement to all of our facilitators and presenters
  • Accessibility considerations are integrated into event planning, program design, and content development processes, and options such as automated closed captions are enabled proactively and promoted to all of our attendees.

Through these efforts, we aim to foster a culture of accessibility across our professional learning community.

Feedback and Accommodation Requests

We welcome feedback on the accessibility and usability of our website, educational programs, and services.
