Local Transportation Information
Note: Airport Limousine service is basically even (slightly higher by just a few dollars) than round-trip shuttle or cab service if you have 3+ people.
A taxi will run about $36 one way.
The airport shuttle is $44pp round-trip or $24pp one-way. Shuttle pick-up is right outside of the door next to the shuttle counter.
Travel time is 20-25 minutes (more with heavy traffic) one way. Normal shuttle time is about 30 minutes. The Sheraton New Orleans is usually the 3rd drop-off on the shuttle loop.
Hotel Parking Information: Parking at the hotel is valet only. There is no self-parking. Attendees staying at the hotel will receive a 20% discount off the valet rate of $43/day. Daily drive in attendees may wish to park at one of the nearby public parking options.

The French Quarter Festival, a popular free music festival featuring 800+ local musicians on 16 stages and ~60 food and drink booths, takes place Thursday, April 6 – Sunday, April 9. Plan to make a weekend of it after the conference!
The Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival takes place Friday, April 7 through Sunday, April 9, 2017. The festival is held every April in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, just north of Lake Pontchartrain. This seasonal festival features chocolate covered strawberries, strawberry smoothies, strawberry daiquiris, strawberry cheesecakes, strawberries and cream, even strawberries deep fried and of course there’s strawberry beer.
Other great attractions near the hotel include taking a street car ride up to City Park and the New Orleans Museum of Art or down to the Garden District. We are a short walk from Harrah’s Casino, the Aquarium of the Americas, Mardi Gras World, the IMAX Theater, Audubon Insectarium, Woldenberg Riverfront Park, Audubon Zoo, Saenger Theater, dozens of galleries.
