The OLC Press, a new publishing imprint from the Online Learning Consortium, is launching in Summer 2022. The Press and its forthcoming books aim to advance the study and practice of online, digital, and blended learning. This publication aims to illuminate the organizational structures and leadership strategies of online education units at higher education institutions through the first-person stories, practices, lessons, and innovations of Chief Online Officers.
The publication is edited by Dr. Bettyjo Bouchey, Associate Professor of Business and Management and Associate Dean of the College of Professional Studies and Advancement at National Louis University; Dr. Erin Gratz, Instruction and Outreach librarian at Orange Coast College in Southern California; and Dr. Shelley Kurland, Dean of Virtual Campus County College of Morris. This volume features a spectrum of voices from higher education leaders from the field.

In alignment with online teaching best practices outlined in the OLC’s QCTIP Scorecard, this edited volume presents information through a combination of research, strategies, and professional experiences to create a how-to guide that meets the needs of higher education professionals where they are, helping them to level up their success in designing, growing, implementing, and measuring online, digital, and blended teaching and learning.
