An introduction to the basics of copyright and fair use in higher education, with a focus on how these concepts arise in digital and online learning. Participants will explore practical considerations for using, sharing, and adapting instructional materials in ways that support accessibility.

Dr. Megan Lowe | Director of University Libraries & Professor, Northwestern State University

Dr. Megan Lowe is the Director of University Libraries and a Professor at Northwestern State University of Louisiana and the Principal Investigator of her institution’s Title III grant, Elevate-U. She oversees four (4) libraries across NSU’s ecosystem of campuses and currently serves on the institution’s AI Policy Taskforce. She is currently involved in the SREB’s Educational Technology Committee (ETC); its priorities involve open education, artificial intelligence, and digital horizons.
