As a small non-profit organization, we strive to create refund/cancellation policies that offer flexibility to accommodate the unforeseen circumstances that participants may face, while also sustaining our support and services across our community. As such, we have established the following policies for OLC Accelerate 2020:
Refund and cancellation requests must be made in writing to conference@onlinelearning-c.org. Refunds will be made to the original form of payment for the event when possible (i.e., credit memo, credit card, or check).
If you are not able to attend virtually, you may substitute another individual in your place (one time) at no additional fee up to the conference start date. Substitutions are not allowed once the conference starts. The name and email address of the substitute must be emailed to The Online Learning Consortium. If you do not attend the program and do not submit a written refund or credit memo request, The Online Learning Consortium will retain all fees. The Online Learning Consortium is not responsible for any change/cancellation charges assessed by airlines, travel agents, hotels or other similar vendors. Email all cancellation requests, substitutions, and registration questions to conference@onlinelearning-c.org.
OLC strives to deliver our events as scheduled. However, we reserve the right to reschedule, restructure or cancel a program due to unforeseen extenuating circumstances or low registration.
In order to protect our valued sponsors and the significant investment they have made to participate as a partner at the conference, our rules strictly prohibit solicitation by attendees who do NOT have sponsorships. Any non-sponsors who are observed soliciting business at the conference, a practice known as “suitcasing” or “outboarding”, will be removed from the conference immediately. Individuals and companies found to be suitcasing or outboarding may also be excluded from future conferences.
Below are some specific ways in which your data is shared during the OLC Accelerate conference to enhance your experience during the virtual conference: 1) Participant List – for those who have not opted out, your name, title, and organization will be included on the virtual platform for networking purposes. 2) Exhibit Booths – by interacting with an exhibit booth on the virtual platform, your name, organization, title, country, and email address will be shared with the exhibiting company.
